Method

Every stage produces evidence.

At the end there isn't only a chosen name. There is the path that led to it, written so that someone else can review it.

The stages

  1. 01

    Role

Criteria, stages and the application form agreed with the employer before anything opens.

A record of what the position demands and how it will be checked.

  2. 02

    Screening

Every application read against the same criteria, with flags raised when something declared doesn't match what the role requires.

    Form responses and screening flags.

  3. 03

    Assessment

An instrument applied when the position calls for it: work style, situational judgement, English for work or reasoning.

A result with an interpreted reading, never an isolated score.

  4. 04

    Work Sample

A piece of work close to what the person would actually do in the job.

What the person delivered, assessed against the agreed criteria.

  5. 05

    Interview

A competency guide, run the same way for every candidate on the role.

What was asked, what was answered, and what was demonstrated.

  6. 06

    Shortlist

The finalists brought together, each with their material.

Comparison by criterion and a record of what is still open.

  7. 07

    Decision

The choice belongs to the employer, with the case file in view.

A document that still reads clearly months later.

The limits we hold to

A serious method is defined as much by what it refuses to do as by what it does.

  • No overall candidate score

A person does not reduce to a number, and a single number hides exactly what the decision needs: where they are strong and where they are not.

  • No automated ranking

Ordering people by calculation hands the decision to a formula nobody audited. Comparison is by criterion, and the choice is human.

  • No assessment without a purpose

An instrument only enters when it answers a question the role actually has. Running everything on everyone produces volume, not information.

  • No conclusion the evidence won't carry

Where the material isn't enough to claim something, the report says so. A recorded doubt is worth more than an invented certainty.

Want to see it against your role?

The method is the same; what changes is which stages the position justifies.
